France 24 is an international news and current affairs television channel. The service is aimed at the overseas market, similar to BBC World News, DW-TV, NHK World and RT, and broadcast through satellite and cable operators throughout the world. During 2010 the channel started broadcasting through its own iPhone app. It started broadcasting on 6 December 2006.
France 24 started broadcasting on 6 December 2006.
France 24 began broadcasting in widescreen on January 9th 2011. To co-incide with this, graphics were modified to fit the new format. The studio design was not altered.
France 24 modified their graphics again on April 12th 2012. The studio remained unaltered, as did the titles for the news and weather, but new lower-third graphics were introduced across all bulletins.
A new look to France 24 was launched on Thursday, 12th December 2013.
