BBC Newsline

BBC Newsline is the regional news programme serving Northern Ireland. It is also receivable widely throughout Ireland either on cable, or satellite television, and Newsline has permanent correspondents in Dublin.

Previously known as Scene Around Six and Inside Ulster, BBC Newsline has been the name of the local programme since 1996. The main presenters are Noel Thompson and Donna Traynor.

Inside Ulster: 1993-1996

A new look for Inside Ulster was introduced in 1993.

BBC Newsline 6.30: 1996-1999

The BBC Newsline brand was introduced on 12 February 1996 when the main evening programme returned to a 6.30pm timeslot.

BBC Newsline: 1999-2004

BBC Newsline - along with Newsroom South East, Reporting Scotland and Wales Today - updated its titles and graphics on 4 October 1999.

BBC Newsline: 2004-2008

BBC Newsline introduced new titles and graphics on 13 April 2004.

BBC Newsline: 2008-2012

BBC Newsline updated its titles and graphics on 21 April 2008, coinciding with the relaunch of BBC News.

BBC Newsline: 2012-2016

BBC Newsline updated its set and refreshed some of its graphics on 28 August 2012.

BBC Newsline: 2016-

A new look for BBC Newsline was introduced on Monday 14th March 2016.
